WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE WHITE CARRARA MARBLE EMBRACES ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS BRANDS OF THE WORLD. SUCH AS ROLEX?
What happens when the white Carrara marble embraces one of the most prestigious brands of the world, such as Rolex? The answer is simple: a luxury temple in the heart of one of the most beautiful sea villages of the world. Here it is, the Cusi Jewelry in Portofino, which has given birth to one of a kind Rolex space,
thanks to the ollaboration with Robot City and GVM and following a design by two young architects from Milan, Ludovica Belloni and Francesca Aletti of the Studio 1Unicum. What immediately catches the eye and leaves us breathless is the effect created by a very long marble wall.
It is made up of twenty-five white marble slabs of the highest quality, six-centimetre thick and culpted in order to create a magical and illusory effect. They are a sequence if sinuous marble curves which are not at all motionless, but are like sea waves instead. This unbelievable optical
illusion is due to the effect of daylight which, reflecting itself on the marble wall, continuosly changes the marble shape and pattern. The magic would not have been possible if the twenty-five marble slabs had not been crafted using the most innovative techniques.
